After filling my Apple Timecapsule with data (1TB!) I needed more storage. This seemed ideal - and it is!
When I got it I formatted it to the mac file system (HFS+) with no problems (it comes with FAT32 formatted - Mac and Windows readable). I then connected it to the USB on my Timecapsule and it works a treat now as a wireless hard drive. (it is actually connected through a Belkin USB hub to the Timecapsule as I have a printer connected to the USB hub too so I have wireless printing).
It goes to sleep on its own after a few minutes of activity to save power and wakes up quite quickly. It is also pretty quiet.
I'd recommend this if you need a lot of space, don't want much noise, want power saving, value for money and compatibility.
